I am now done the book and the ending is kind of dumb and confusing. To me the chase seemed to drag on a long time and kind of got boring. I found it really interesting when the news people and the policeman faked catching Montag, and how the men around the fire knew they were going to do that. Did they just do this to please the public? Are they actually just going to give up searching for him? Also when Millie just decides to abandon her husband when he is in such a tough situation is kind of selfish, even though she may not agree with what he is doing. It seems she finally realizes how unhappy she was throughout the whole novel and decides to leave Montag. I thought that Montag and Faber's way of covering themselves up and trying to get away were very smart. How Montag wore Faber's old clothes and floated down the river to cover up his smell from the mechanical hound was pretty smart. The men around the fire seem kind of odd to me. Do they just live in the middle of nowhere? Although it is kind of neat though how they are all knowledgable in different things and how they all somewhat represent different people or things.
